브랜든 그로테스크
브랜든 그로테스크는 6개의 두께와 각각의 기울임꼴을 가진 산세리프 서체입니다. 2010년에 ‘한스 반 도른 (Hannes von Döhren)’ 에 의해 디자인되었습니다. 1920년대와 30년대에 유행했던 기하학적 형태의 산세리프체의 영향을 많이 받았으며, 글꼴의 기하학적 형태는 더 좋은 가독성을 위해 시각적으로 교정되었습니다.
브랜든 그로테스크는 기능적인 생김새와 따듯한 감성을 가졌습니다. 가장 얇은 Thin 두께와 가장 두꺼운 Black 두께는 제목용으로 사용하기에 효과적이며, Light, Regular, Medium 두께는 긴 글에 사용하기에 적합합니다. 작은 x–height (타이포그래피 용어 중 소문자 엑스의 높이)와 절제된 형태를 통해 독특한 우아함을 보여줍니다.

Brandon Grotesque
Brandon Grotesque is a sans serif type family of six weights plus matching italics. It was designed by Hannes von Döhren in 2009/10. Influenced by the geometric-style sans serif faces that were popular during the 1920s and 30s, the fonts are based on geometric forms that have been optically corrected for better legibility.
Brandon Grotesque has a functional look with a warm touch. While the thin and the black weights are great performers in display sizes the light, regular and medium weights are well suited to longer texts. The small x-height and the restrained forms lend it a distinctive elegance.
Brandon Grotesque is equipped for complex, professional typography. The OpenType fonts have an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European languages.
Brandon Grotesque won the TDC2 Award, 2011.
Hannes von Döhren
Hannes von Döhren was born in Berlin, Germany in 1979. After completing his studies in graphic design, he worked in an advertising agency in Hamburg. Since 2008 he runs his own type foundry HVD Fonts. Within the last years he has released several type families like Brevia, Livory, ITC Chino, FF Basic Gothic, Reklame Script, and Brandon Grotesque, which was the most successful release at MyFonts in 2010. In 2011 he has received the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design from the Type Directors Club New York.
